Sweeping™ technology is the process of seamless handing off of an active session between two access devices, like a laptop/desktop and a mobile device. damaka is the first company in the world to successfully demonstrate Sweeping™ across multiple networks and devices. This Multiple Session Continuity (MSC) is part of the damaka's Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) solution offering where an user is able to seamlessly Sweep or transfer/handoff any active session between different access devices on one or more IP networks.(such as WiFi, 3G, 4G).

This technology enables user to handoff any live active sessions such as Presnce, IM, Audio, Video, and Application Sharing between a mobile device and laptop which might be on different IP networks (such as WiFi, 3G, or 4G) without dropping any active session. damaka's Sweeping™ technology is supported over both Bluetooth and IR connectivity between laptops and mobile devices.

There are several scenarios where the Sweeping™ technology can be put to use. An executive who is on a conference call during transit on his laptop connected via a 3G wireless broadband connection switches over to a mobile device as a result of a constraint placed on the executive due to change in transit mode with the click of a single button on the application. This Sweeping™ feature enables the executive to continue his business transaction without a break. This is an extremely useful value added and damaka is proud to be a leader in this technology.

Another scenario is where a user is in a conference onlaptop/desktop. The user is required to attend an another meeting physically in another part of the town. The user in this case can transfer the call onto his mobile device and walk off to the car. If the car is equipped with a hands free device registered with mobile device, then the call is transferred to the device with the Sweeping™ technology. After the drive, the user can transfer the call from the hands-free device to the mobile device and walk off to the meeting place where the call can be again transferred to the desktop/laptop.
