Hybrid Architecture
damaka's solutions are compliant with standard protocols like SIP and RTP and can connect with IMS, out of the box. However, there are situations when there is a need for connecting with systems that are legacy. damaka's hybrid architecture accommodates connectivity with systems that are 'one of' a kind or based on traditional technology, like Time Division Multiplexed (TDM) or any legacy circuit-switched equipment. However, this requires some customization or setting up a gateway to talk to the non-standard network elements and that depends on the customer requirements, topology and systems in place. Operators deploying IMS technology gradually over time will start support signaling and session control from traditional and until then hybrid approach needs to be supported.
